I studied photography in college and I loved it, the dark room was an amazing place of wonder to me. I am no expert and don’t know a lot about what I am doing I just see the image I want and go for it.

My favourite images to take are from nature, plants and flowers mainly. To see something I love when out, something of beauty and being able to snap a picture to take with me and save the memory and enjoy it time and time again fills me with so much happiness.

I have a DSLR camera which I love but the advancement of smart phone cameras make it so easy to take pictures quickly and you even have your own editing suite in your hand at all times. I do love using my camera more, feeling it heavy in my hand adjusting the focus makes it more enjoyable.

The best feeling of course is when you can share your pictures with other people and they enjoy them as much as you. It also helps track progress of my plants to see them flourish and grow which I am doing a lot at the moment.

So why not tomorrow when you are out and about get your phone out and take a picture of something pretty that sparks joy in you.
