Do you ever feel stuck on the spot? I get this way quite often. It feels like you don’t know quite how to feel or change your mindset to a more positive one. I have learned to just sit with this feeling until it passes but would love to learn more about why I get this way and how I can change the feeling and move out of it faster.

I believe a step forward would to not snowball my problems to an unmanageable amount. I find when I am stuck its easy to add more and more issues to think about rather than just accept this is how I am feeling at this very moment and this wave of sadness and feeling lost will pass.

I feel very much I’m at a crossroads in my life and I want to understand myself more and grow as a person. To do this I feel I should start to unpick the feelings I have one at a time and look for a way to move forward and make the changes for better mental health.

The first thing I must learn to do is talk about how I feel unfortunately I tend to shut down and stop communicating when in a stuck mindset. I need to learn to share my thoughts and feelings with the people I need to when I need to and not harbour them.

One of the things I find really helps me is being in nature. I try every evening after work to walk in the forest it clears my mind a little as well as having fresh air and exercise.

I believe we all get so bogged down with our 9-5 lifestyle always on the treadmill of life doing what we have to do and neglect to do what we truly want to do that makes us thrive and grow. A new rule for me is to take the time however small to feed my soul. I am planning to take my small nature walks slowly but surely to much bigger adventures and attempt some hiking. And this weekend will be my first small hike in a local beautiful area.

I hope to share the things that help me move forward to a more peaceful mind and happier life and hope maybe you will find some ideas to help you if you ever feel stuck.
